Aisha 2018

Aisha Naseem is social justice organizer, mixed media artist, and patron of pizza.  Aisha is a native of Worcester and is both a 2014 and 2017 Rabbit Heart finalist.

Seren Divine is a feminist, anti-racist educator, performance & visual artist, writer, producer, and award winning poet based in Brooklyn New York. She has toured nationally as a poet and has exhibited her visual art up and down the east coast.

Over the last ten years she has been a contributing artist and volunteer at NYCs famed WOW Café Theater,  Be Here Now, the oldest collectively run performance space for female and trans artists in the United States. She has five collections in print, two recordings, and was most recently published in Bowery Women Poems, Bowery Arts & Science, Ltd. 

 

Jenith 2018Jenith Charpentier is the author of three chapbooks, Bending the Water Between Us (2011), Bad at Gravity (Doublebunnny Press, 2013), and 5 Poems by Jenith Charpentier (Damfino Press, 2015). She represented Worcester’s Poets Asylum at the 2012 Individual World Poetry Slam and as a member of the 2013 National Poetry Slam Team. Jenith’s poetry appears in several publications including OVS, Mas Tequila Review, Wicked Banshee Press, The Orange Room Review, Worcester Magazine, Tipton Poetry Journal. Rushelle

Rushelle Frazier is an artist and organizer from Worcester, MA. They host Seven Hills Slam, Worcester’s nationally recognized poetry slam. Rushelle is currently working to defend nondiscrimination protections for transgender people here in MA. For more info: www.7hillsslam.com &

Bill 2018Bill MacMillan is painter, mixed-media artist, and sometimes writer. In his day job he is an art conservator specializing in arms & armor.  Bill has been a judge for every year of Rabbit Heart so far. He has been in a movie, a television show, a theater production, and a national poetry competition, but only won an award for one of them. He lives in Worcester with his wife, son, four cats, and a few too many house plants. He is handling middle age about as well as can be expected.
